Let's be honest with ourselves for just a moment, many of us spend more time locked our phones than in reality and that often leaves us feeling as though we will never be enough.
At the end of the day we all know we'll never be the next Kardashion or Tyra Banks and yet we fall for all the traps media sets for us by constantly comparing our lives to theirs and all of the other pretty people we see on TV and Social Media.
We eat what they tell us is cool and wear what they tell us is in, we buy things we truly don't need to impress people who don't even know who we are and then we are let feeling lost and angry about our poor choices because they keep us from living the life we really want and deserve to have.

After making some personal life changes for myself I'm happy to share my own tips for living your life more intentionally and with purpose.
1. Practice Being Grateful. You would think that a simple task like being grateful wouldn't do much if anything to change your life but the reality of it is that most of us are so focused on what we don't have that we forget about the things we do have, it doesn't mean you should settle but it can bring you back to earth when you realize how angry you were comparing your life to others.
2. Journaling. Another simpler task that does so much for the mind and soul. When I started journaling it gave me another outlet to express my feelings and thoughts. It's a way to rant privately or collect my goals on one page. It's also a great way to be creative with my words in a way that makes me feel comfortable and I can choose to keep things to myself, make a video about it or create a blog post.
3. Become self-aware. I think we could all benefit from being more self-aware or when we are doing things that are self sabotaging like over spending and ruining our savings by spending all of our money on a makeover after a big break up or going on trips you can't afford to keep up with strangers online.
4. Exercise Daily. This is something I talk about often so it's pretty clear how I feel about working out and the benefits of it. We live in a society where people are under the impression that working out is a skinny girls hobby and not something that actually DOES anything for you, it used to be common for people to be active daily in order to live well and be happy but now it's almost taboo to even bring it up. Let's start a new trend where we all workout for the sake of being HEALTHY because health insurance is not cheap.
5. Read more. I told myself that I wanted to read 10 books in 2020 but now I'm thinking I need to read more than that. I want to learn about a lot of things and the best way to expand my knowledge is to read. The same goes for everyone else, if you want to live a more satisfying life then you should read books made by successful people who want to help you grow.
6. Create a yearly budget. This step is slightly harder than others since many people work less common jobs these days, YouTubers, Instagramers, Bloggers, but if you are able to create a financial plan for the year then it does help you plan out your savings better.
7. Plan your meals. This takes effort for some, I'm a single mom so I do understand this can be hard but it's not impossible. Having a meal already prepped for you after a long day at work will really change the way you see
8. Create positive daily habits. I love to write, I want to be a writer and complete a book one day, but I used to think that it was something that would just happen to me and I didn't do much to make it happen for myself. I understand that I have to actually write in order to create a book but I didn't write enough to actually finish anything so I started creating a positive habit by writing a little each day to build up momentum to complete something.
9. Tidy up behind yourself as you go. In the morning it's important take the time to make your bed, clean up as you cook, or pick up after popcorn and a movie on the couch. If you wait to do it later it can become overwhelming and get pushed off till the next day or the next. Do yourself a favor and take care of your spaces, at home, at work and in your car.
10. Take time off from the internet. Well it is a big source of your problems, you over spend because you want what see has, you wanna go on trips they go on, you want to live the way they live, you make poor choices because you feel obligated to keep up. Or maybe you just beat yourself up a lot about what you don't have because you are staring at strangers all day. Take a few days off, you deserve it.
