A media kit is a PDF document or a presentation that contains precise information about you and your social media accounts so that brands and agencies who want to advertise on social media can see what you're about.
Here are five things big brands want to see in your media kit.
There is no one way to make a media kit, but I recommend following a few of these steps
1. A brief description of your account: This will include the number of followers, your engagement rate, topics that you cover in your account, and your location.
2. Audience demographics: This will include gender, age, location, and ethnicity (Big brands care about diversity in their marketing companies, so this info is essential for any advertisers' parentheses). Just include a screenshot from your analytics.
3. Awards and testimonials: if you have any. If you happen to have any customer testimonials to earn credibility and trust, you can include that in your media kit. Add any awards that you've won to show off your achievements.
I also recommend including any collaborations that you've done previously with brands, any stats on your post reach engagement, or the number of saves that that brought in.
4. What type of advertising do you offer. Do you make posts, stories, videos, and IGTV? What about reals? It's essential to show brands and businesses what kind of content you are willing to make for them so they know what to expect.
5. And finally, your contact information. This is where you will include your email and your phone number. When doing business, you want to be direct with your contact information and give people a way to get ahold of you immediately.
